Mentoring and Job Placement
Help Beyond the Internship

mentor3Having great skills and experience is extremely important, but let’s face it, there’s no substitute for having a mentor and connections in the field you hope to enter. At HU, you get it all. We offer programs, such as the Volunteer Business Mentor Program, that pair students with successful local business people for advice and mentoring. We also work closely with employment firms to prepare you for your job search. Résumé writing, mock interview practice, coaching—they’re all part of the help you receive.

The University also hosts five career fair events each year where we invite employers to showcase their organizations to our students. These career fairs are an opportunity to meet with employers representing fields such as computer science, IT project management, new media design, information systems engineering and management, analytics, geospatial technology, ebusiness, and biotechnology.
